Guest Post: Cobalt Crush

October 19, 2012
Thanks to Molly and Sally, from A Piece of Toast, for sharing their Cobalt obsession with Such Good Style readers! Check out these adorable and stylish sisters...they're such good!

Like most sisters, we don't always agree on everything... But when it comes to style we typically tend to think eye-to-eye.  This season we have a mad crush on everything cobalt.  This is just a taste of what we would love to add to our closets (since we share closets, of course)!

Night Moves

When playing with patterns, mix from the same color family. Try to find patterns that complement each other, but don't look too matchy-matchy. Remember to include some type of neutral like shoes or accessories to balance out the look. I absolutely loved mixing this beautiful lace skirt with a striped button down, but the best part about this shoot is the special guest is pajamas...he's such good!

Skirt: Lilly Pulitzer Hyacinth Skirt (also love this look, less expensive version). Shirt: Ralph Lauren. Sweater: Lilly Pulitzer (similar). Shoes: Tory Burch. Bag: Dooney & Bourke (love this one too). Watch: Michele. Bracelet: David Yurman. JCrew. Earrings: Pearl and Gold Flower Earrings. Sunglasses: Ralph Lauren. Nail Color: OPI Ski Teal We Drop.

Florals Focus

September 21, 2012

Florals will be a big trend this Fall and Winter! Check out Dolce & Gabbana, Erdem, Burberry Prorsum, Temperley London, Osman, McQ, and Marc Jacobs collections for Floral inspiration this Fall and Winter. Usually this trend fades in the colder season, but the Fall/ Winter seasons this year are an exception. Reinvenet these trends by pairing them with leather or denim.

Fall Fling

September 19, 2012

For those of you that don't want to give up your color from summer, but want to wear more than hunter green and burgundy shades, cobalt is your answer. Cobalt blue is the perfect pop of color to try this season! I especially love a cobalt blazer, shoe, or pant to brighten the rest of your outfit. If you want to risk it even more, try a cobalt fur vest...it's such good!

Living the Good Life

"Self confidence is both good for you and your style. Finding your personal style means feeling exhilarated every day as you walk out your front door, knowing you look great before anybody tells you so. By exposing yourself to all kinds of influences and dressing with an open mind, you will both discover new things that will inspire to change and embrace the parts of yourself that you already love." -Amanda Brooks

Cobalt Classic

September 7, 2012

One of the major colors of the Fall is cobalt. A few ways to wear this trend: Try it with jewel tones like emerald and amethyst. Pair it with a neutral, white and cobalt is a classic Mediterranean-inspired combo for the last days of summer, and black is edgy and mysterious. Try it with chunky gold jewelry. Gold is huge for fall and it looks cool and vaguely nautical when paired with cobalt.
