Tweed & Sequins

Tweed can look incredibly boring if not paired with the right look. However, tweed can also add the right retro element to a look when it's verging on being too tasteful. I mixed it with this silk button down top, sequin tank, and leather jacket to add some current trends and a slight edge to the look. Forget the fact that tweed can be overused as a classic material and make it look new and exciting with a fresh take.

Upgrade a Bun

Happy Wednesday! I just bought these Skirtin Around shorts and I'm loving the fit. I tend to pick special pieces with intricate detail like the gold and white button on these shorts. Look for basic pieces to pair with standout pieces like this Tory Burch sequin cardigan. You can also see this cardigan in Sunsets and Sequins, which is more of a  neutral look. Of course every outfit looks better with Chanel!

Sunsets and Sequins

Hope everyone is having a great week! My Aunt Jules just gave me her old Tory Burch cardigan with sequins and I absolutely love it. What's old is new again! They have some great finds in the Tory Burch Fall Collection that look similar and are amazing. I'm dying to get another one! I paired it with cream and white striped shorts for a relaxing night down the shore. I'm obsessed with mixing different patterns with similar color schemes---try it out! One more day until the weekend! 

Manic Monday

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I was in Philadelphia for the weekend and went out to dinner in Old City. I chose a relaxed look for the night with a silk Tibi tank and Seven Jeans. I still wanted to add something special, so I brought this sequin jacket, which will also be great in the Fall. I went out in Rittenhouse Square and found someone who was giving out temporary tattoos with eye liner for a charity event. I love my SGS tattoo!
